One of the best parts about living in Mid-Atlantic is that we have some great opportunities to shoot snow scenes. As an added bonus this blizzard has created a few extra snow days. Being shut in the house has also provided ample time to work on projects like backing-up photos, organizing photos, tagging shots, reformatting memory cards, and clearing my photo backlog (the photos that I've meant to devote serious time reviewing and editing, but knew that it was going to take considerable effort).
After a few days taking on the challenges that procrastination allowed me it was time to get out and take more photos. We were "blessed" with just over 2 feet of snow in two days so there was plenty of opportunity to capture some snow scenes before the snow melted.
Don't forget to adjust your White Balance to make sure the camera doesn't turn your snow gray.
